Allied Universal in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable access-control, monitor entry points, and respond to incidents across a gated community site.

The role offers fixed shifts with options to pick up extra shifts, at $22.50 per hour. Ideal candidates have 1+ year security experience, a HS diploma, and can pass background and drug screenings.

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and property staff while enforcing access-control procedures.

• Conduct regular patrols of common areas, parking, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations and communicate information to supervision and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Flex Gated Community Access Control in Newport Beach, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$22.50 / Hour / Part Time

Job Schedule:

Sat: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records in accordance with established property policies.
• Respond to access concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and access-control activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
