Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in New York, NY to provide reliable security at a commercial real estate site. The role offers flexible hours with anchored shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $19.06 per hour, with a six-month anchor commitment and part-time hours that can scale toward up to 40 hours per week; eligible for paid training and benefits through the company perks program.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking facilities, loading docks, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; assist with directing guests and vendors in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
• Complete detailed reports and daily logs, communicating relevant information to site management.

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking facilities, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; assist with directing guests and vendors in accordance with site‑specific access procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete detailed reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation, while communicating relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
