Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable coverage at a corporate building. The role offers fixed-anchor shifts with the possibility to pick up additional hours through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Pay rate is $19.59 per hour. Requirements include a valid New York State Security Guard License, at least 1 year of security experience, and the ability to work day shifts. CPR/First Aid preferred.

As a Security Officer - Corporate Buildingin New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.59 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon08:00 AM - 12:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly professional environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Document observations, incidents, and irregular activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Hold CPR certification, preferred.
• Hold CPR and First Aid certification, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
