Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer to support on-site operations. This role offers a fixed sun shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM with a base pay rate of $17.50 per hour, plus opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Ideal candidates are 18+ (21+ for armed positions), have a high school diploma or equivalent, and are prepared for background checks and a pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age; 21+ for armed roles.

• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies, and assist in emergency response when needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and escalate concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, warehouse spaces, parking areas and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents and daily activities accurately according to site requirements.

Day: Sun Time: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
