Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time for Indianapolis, IN. The role offers flexible anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, designed to supplement income and build toward a full-time career in security.

Responsibilities include customer service, responding to incidents, conducting patrols, monitoring access points, and maintaining logs and reports per site procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen may be required by law.

• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Routine Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri – 11:00 AM - 04:15 PM
• Sat – 08:00 AM - 01:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or clients at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
