Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers and employees via site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials and logs, and control access as required.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas and perimeter.
• Document daily activities, incidents and observations through required reports.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Enrollment in Whitestown, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Sat 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site‑specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and driver logs, and control access to designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and unusual observations through required reports and communication channels.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess supervisory experience.
• Possess at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
