Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Evening Shift Unarmed Patrol in Bethesda, MD. You will monitor and safeguard guests and staff, provide welcoming customer service, deter incidents through visibility, and support access control in a hotel and resort setting.

You will perform regular patrols, respond to concerns, document incidents, and communicate findings to site leadership.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout hotel grounds, guest areas, parking facilities, service corridors, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, vendor, and delivery procedures per site requirements.
• Document incidents and patrols accurately and relay information to site leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Evening Shift Unarmed Patrolin Bethesda, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide welcoming customer service to guests and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and contribute to a caring environment through teamwork and integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hotel grounds, guest areas, parking facilities, service corridors, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, vendor, and delivery procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and completed patrols accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
