Job summary

Allied Universal in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Part Time Security Officer to provide security services at a busy site. You will perform patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents, ensuring guest, staff, and visitor safety.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, entrances, parking areas, public spaces, and the property perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and daily activity reports and maintain professional communication with personnel and leadership.

As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Alarm in Bethesda, MD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.50 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
