As a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a manufacturing and industrial location. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm systems, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach, you will help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $16.89 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial facilities, production areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services when required.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while supporting a professional environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
