Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol in Roanoke, VA. You will monitor, deter incidents, provide exceptional customer service, and support access control at a logistics and distribution location.

As an unarmed patrol officer, you will conduct regular patrols, respond calmly to incidents, log activity, and coordinate with site leadership. Full-time role with a starting pay of $16.20 per hour, benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license preferred.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns in a calm, professional manner following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access and maintain logs for visitors and deliveries.
• Observe and report security-related conditions and maintenance concerns to site leadership.

• Mon 08:30 AM - 04:30 PM
• Tue 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 08:30 AM - 04:30 PM

What You\'ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading docks, trailer areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed, and maintain accurate logs for visitors, contractors, deliveries, and/or vehicle activity.
• Observe and report security-related conditions, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver\'s license will be required for driving positions only.
