Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Complete detailed reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation while maintaining professional communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Badge Control Patrol in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
