Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Salem, VA to safeguard clients across utility facilities. You will conduct patrols, monitor access, respond to alarms, and provide courteous service while upholding company policies and safety procedures.

This role emphasizes reliable teamwork, incident reporting, and professional communication with employees and visitors, with a schedule that includes evening shifts and weekends, and opportunities for ongoing training

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors at a utility location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Salem, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic utilities location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, respond to alarms, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
