Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location in Oakdale, CA. The role includes managing site entry, verifying credentials, monitoring access points, and ensuring a secure environment for employees and visitors.

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization, you will provide professional customer service, uphold site policies, and deter incidents with a visible presence. The position is full time with an hourly pay rate of $22.00.

Qualifications

• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Monitor access control systems, verify credentials, and maintain visitor/contractor logs.
• Help protect product, equipment, and restricted areas by following access protocols and reporting unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents calmly and in line with post orders and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, grounds, and perimeters; conditions vary by client site.

• Monitor access control systems, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and assist with managing entry and exit at designated access points.
• Help protect product, equipment, and restricted production areas by following access protocols, reporting unauthorized access attempts, and escalating concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
