Allied Universal, a leading security and facilities services provider, seeks a Security Officer Access Authorization in Winchester, VA. You will manage access points, verify credentials, and deliver courteous service to employees and visitors.

As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, you will monitor entry points, support badge-related processes, and use site systems to maintain records.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
