Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Authorization Specialist in Fontana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a secure environment at an industrial location by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and documenting visitor and vehicle activity. You will respond to alarms and security-related concerns, communicate professionally with employees and guests, and support a welcoming experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, issuing visitor passes, and directing authorized personnel and vehicles to appropriate areas.
• Assist with enforcing entry requirements for an industrial facility, including screening deliveries, coordinating with site contacts, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, surrounding areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
