Job summary

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Lincoln, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use computer or tablet systems to document security-related activity, provide outstanding customer service, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.45 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and support controlled access to restricted areas.
• Screen inbound and outbound vehicles as directed, document deliveries and shipments, and report access discrepancies or unusual activity to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and designated facility areas to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
