Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while conducting site-specific screening procedures and emergency activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and property entering or leaving the location per established procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and inspect bags, parcels, and items; report prohibited or suspicious items through established channels.
• Respond to incidents calmly and communicate observations to site leadership or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, access points, loading zones, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening individuals and items, and reporting security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and property entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections of bags, parcels, and other items as authorized, reporting prohibited or suspicious items through established channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, access points, loading zones, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
