Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures and emergency response activities at a government facility.
• Screen persons and items entering the location using screening equipment; report prohibited items or concerns.
• Maintain visitor, access, screening, and incident documentation per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and screening areas to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Part Time Judicial Screening in West Palm Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out site‑specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government facility.
• Screen persons and authorized items entering the location using designated screening equipment and procedures; report prohibited items, irregularities, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate visitor, access, screening, and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements and applicable procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, screening areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or 5 years of security-related experience, or a college degree in criminal justice.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
