Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 5 years of security‑related experience or a college degree in criminal justice.
• Guard card required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public through site‑specific screening procedures and access policies.
• Screen persons and property using screening equipment; report prohibited items and policy violations.
• Verify identification and credentials as directed; maintain professional communication and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies following procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Maintain awareness of entry points, conduct patrols, and complete activity logs and incident reports.

As a Security Officer Part Time Administration Screener in Delray Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon11:00 AM - 07:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site‑specific screening procedures, access‑control policies, and security‑related protocols at a government location.
• Screen persons and personal property using designated screening equipment and procedures, reporting prohibited items, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorized access as directed by site procedures while maintaining professional communication and accurate documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Maintain awareness of entry points and nearby areas, conduct assigned observations or patrols as required, and complete activity logs and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 5 years of security‑related experience or a college degree in criminal justice.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
