Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, trailers, building perimeter and designated locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate concerns per site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and access activity and communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Checkpoint Patrol in NEWARK, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $26.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, vehicle traffic, and visitor activity at a logistics and distribution location; verify credentials and follow site entry and exit procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, trailers, the building perimeter, and other designated locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and/or access activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
