As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Screening in SAN JOSE, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.60 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, delivery‑related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, vehicle yards, access points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to designated areas, observe the movement of personnel and visitors, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership.
• Complete accurate activity reports and communicate relevant observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
