Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced (Unarmed) at Canoga Park, CA. You will provide customer service, respond to incidents, and perform unarmed patrols across retail areas while maintaining professional presence.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license per policy.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Ability to ride a bicycle for long periods is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen per law are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and vendors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and coordinate with appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of retail areas, storefronts, parking, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity and hazards, document observations, and complete incident reports daily.
• Assist with access control, directions, and inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Vehicle Patrol in Canoga Park, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 11:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat: 11:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 11:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity, property concerns, and potential hazards, document observations, and complete required incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Assist with access control, directions, and customer inquiries while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
