Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly and notify appropriate contacts or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare-related facilities, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity.
• Prepare incident reports, maintain logs, and communicate observations to leadership and site management.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Walnut, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare-related facilities, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as required, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
