Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Reporting in Milpitas, CA. This role offers reliable, flexible hours with a base schedule and opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

You will provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors and visitors, perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and document incidents per site protocols. Pay rate is $25.00 per hour, with weekend availability encouraged.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Reporting in Milpitas, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology‑focused location.


• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.


• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site‑specific access‑control procedures.


• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.


• CPR certification is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
