Allied Universal in Crystal City, VA is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time to provide dependable, flexible coverage at a corporate technology location. You will work a fixed anchor shift and have the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a corporate technology location by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office spaces, building perimeters, parking areas, access points, and common areas.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and delivery areas; verify credentials and follow visitor management procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, professional problem-solving; document observations and notify site contacts or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear activity and incident reports and shift handoff communications per site requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Ambassador in Crystal City, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a corporate technology location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, building perimeters, parking areas, access points, and common areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and delivery areas; verify credentials and follow established visitor management and entry procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
