Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and facility patrons by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of parking areas, access points, facilities, and perimeter areas; report unusual activity.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian activity; assist with access control and report concerns per site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document activities for leadership and records.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports; communicate professionally with site personnel.

Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Access Control Patrol in Arlington, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.84 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and transportation facility patrons by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of parking areas, transportation access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian activity, assist with access control procedures, and report parking‑related concerns or incidents according to site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports while communicating professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
