Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Patrol in Herndon, VA. You will provide customer service at a technology-focused site, conduct armed/unarmed patrols as assigned, and respond calmly to incidents following post orders and escalation protocols.

• Communicate professionally with site contacts and leadership regarding incidents and observations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Tour in Herndon, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.63 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a corporate technology‑focused location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and required documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and responding personnel regarding incidents, observations, and security‑related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
