Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted.

• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by following site procedures and access controls.
• Staff the front desk professionally, verify visitor information, maintain logs, and direct guests.
• Monitor entry points, cameras, alarms, and systems from the desk and report unusual activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents and follow escalation procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, delivery, and shift communications records.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk Reception in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.70 - $24.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Staff the front desk in a professional, welcoming manner, verify visitor information, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests according to property procedures.
• Monitor building entry points, cameras, alarms, and/or communication systems from the designated desk location, reporting unusual activity or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor activity, deliveries, incidents, and shift communications while supporting a professional residential environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
