Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry while maintaining awareness of visitors, vehicles, and personnel.
• Document patrol observations and security-related concerns accurately and communicate information to appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Perimeter Security in Atlanta, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon08:00 AM - 08:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry as directed, maintaining awareness of visitors, vehicles, and personnel entering or leaving the location.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security‑related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Preferred: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Preferred: Customer service experience.
• Preferred: CPR and First Aid certification.
• Preferred: Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
