Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced for an unarmed patrol role at an Atlanta, GA site. The position offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and a program to pick up additional shifts across multiple sites. Pay rate is $19.67 per hour.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of security experience, strong customer service, and comfort with computers. Must meet age, background, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site‑specific procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the commercial property, including common areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security‑related incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain professional communication with property management, tenants, and Allied Universal leadership.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
