Qualifications

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Company may consider applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe and report unusual activity, and track people entering and leaving the site.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete activity reports, incident logs, and documentation as required by site.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Verification Patrol in Atlanta, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, offices, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe and report unusual activity, and maintain awareness of individuals entering and exiting the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and daily logs accurately and in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
