Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site-specific security procedures and policies at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization, and stay aware of activity entering and leaving the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, observations, and policy violations.

As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol Service in Atlanta, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon10:00 AM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization as required, and maintain awareness of activity entering and leaving the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, observations, and policy violations, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
