Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Los Angeles, CA. This role provides fixed hours with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, offering flexible, dependable income for a path toward full-time opportunities.

Pay rate is $24.06 per hour with a daytime schedule. Candidates must have at least 1 year of security experience; a Guard Card is preferred and CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular armed patrols of interior/exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and assist with entry procedures.
• Maintain daily activity, incident, and patrol logs and report observations to management.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrolin Los Angeles, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.06 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeFri08:45 AM - 05:45 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and assist with visitor, employee, and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Maintain required documentation, including daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, while communicating relevant observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
