Allied Universal in Houston, TX is looking for a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time to provide reliable, site-specific security services at a financial institution. The role features fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor and vendor entry procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting details.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation and communicate observations to site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Awareness Patrol in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 09:00 AM - 01:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor and vendor entry procedures in accordance with site‑specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting relevant details.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation while communicating observations and concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
