Job summary

Allied Universal in Nashville is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide security services at a commercial real estate site supporting events. This role offers a fixed shift and a schedule you can build on with our anchor shifts plus the option to pick up additional shifts.

Candidates should have at least two years of security experience, a valid driver's license, and comfort using a computer or tablet.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and document actions in line with established procedures.
• Maintain a professional presence during operations and events and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and clients.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location supporting professional sports operations and events.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials as directed and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or facility concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established procedures and documenting activities as required.
• Maintain a professional presence during routine operations, event‑related activities, and varying site conditions while communicating clearly with Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
