Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at transportation facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, buildings, rail‑adjacent property, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and public agencies as needed.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorization when required, and report irregular conditions, hazards, and policy violations.
• Carry assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site‑specific procedures; complete accurate incident and activity reports.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Mobility in Washington, DC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• This is primarily a driving post.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security‑related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
