Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part Time Armed Security Officer in New Orleans, LA. You will patrol commercial real estate locations, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities include armed patrols, monitoring access, responding to alarms, and documenting activity. The role requires an armed guard card, 21+ years, and ability to work a set schedule including evenings

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or client representatives.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access and verify authorized entry per site procedures; document activity.
• Maintain readiness and control of assigned equipment, including firearms.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Sat: 10:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or client representatives by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at commercial real estate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate emergency personnel and/or site contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, incident, and patrol activity in required reports.
• Maintain readiness and responsible control of assigned equipment, including firearms and related gear, in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
