Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Driver Level III in Katy, TX. This role offers flexible hours with a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to pick up additional shifts across sites.

The position requires armed certification, 3+ years of security/military experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. A background check and drug screen are required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and document events according to site procedures.
• Conduct fixed and armed patrols at the retail location to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for security concerns and report observations.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment per laws, licensing, and site procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Driver Level III in Katy, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for potential security‑related concerns, policy violations, and hazards; report observations through established channels.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
