Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Perimeter Driver in Houston, TX to provide reliable security services at an assigned site with anchor shifts and optional extra shifts via our scheduling platform.

The role involves customer service, incident response, armed patrols, access monitoring, and detailed reporting for management and law enforcement, with a pay rate of $22.00/hour and a flexible schedule that can scale up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, policy violations, and potential loss-prevention concerns; report observations according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership as directed.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Perimeter Driver in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
