Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Elgin, SC to provide reliable security coverage with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional hours through our scheduling platform. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Elgin, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a food and beverage production location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized entry, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and delivery traffic, and following site procedures for contractors, vendors, and inbound or outbound shipments.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs while maintaining a professional presence in changing food and beverage facility environments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
