• Background check required.

• Monitor access points, verify credentials and manage visitor/contractor entries.
• Respond to alarms and incidents calmly and escalate as needed.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Fountain Inn, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by pick‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.82 / Hour

Job Schedule: Fri 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at an industrial distribution location while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access‑control records in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Support emergency response activities, report hazards or unusual conditions, and complete required incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
