This role offers flexible fixed shifts with a six-month commitment and opportunities to pick up additional shifts to boost earnings through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour with part‑time hours designed for income stability and potential progression toward a full‑time schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures and site policies.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding areas to identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry, and document visitor activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, and observations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Columbia, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri05:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, production areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security‑related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
