Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at a government location in Camden, NJ. This role provides reliable, flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform. Pay rate is $19.65 per hour.

Schedule includes Tue and Wed from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, enforcing access control, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate site records.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor front desk activity, greet and screen visitors, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate entry records in accordance with site requirements.
• Answer incoming calls, provide directions and general assistance, and communicate visitor or access concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and security‑related systems from the front desk, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk Reception in Camden, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.65 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
