Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk Credentialing in Carteret, NJ. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts for higher earnings and experience across sites.

The position includes a starting pay of $21.63 per hour, with part-time day/evening schedules and potential progression toward full-time hours. CPR is preferred, and a guard card/license is helpful.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service at the front desk by greeting visitors, employees, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security-related procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials and authorizations, issue temporary access credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Monitor front-desk communications, cameras, and security-related systems, reporting unusual activity, access concerns, or equipment issues according to site procedures.
• Support a professional reception environment within a technology-focused location by providing directions, managing inquiries, and applying established confidentiality and access-control practices.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk Credentialing in Carteret, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.63 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sun04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
