Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Penns Grove, NJ. Qualifications

• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Emergency Patrol in Penns Grove, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.20 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 05:00 PM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established school procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and report unauthorized access or policy concerns to appropriate school personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
