As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Identity Verification in Dayville, CT, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.31 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 02:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, receiving areas, sales floors, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and access‑control documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
