Allied Universal in Springfield, MO is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable security at a utilities site with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform. You will perform patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and deliver customer service to personnel and visitors while earning $16.21 per hour with opportunities to grow and scale up hours.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities location by following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security-related concerns through a professional presence and consistent patrol activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Driver Alarm Response in Springfield, MO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.21 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun – 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security-related concerns through a professional presence and consistent patrol activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
