Pay rate is $22.00 per hour, with a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to work across multiple sites. Requirements include 3+ years in law enforcement, corrections, or military or 5+ years armed security, Texas Level III Armed Certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass

• License requirements may be required prior to employment; driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and team members by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations calmly and per protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols throughout the retail location, including floors, entrances, parking, loading, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to deter theft and unauthorized access.
• Document incidents and patrol activities, communicating information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Mobile Driver in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity to help deter theft, unauthorized access, and other security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
