Job summary

Erickson Senior Living’s Charlestown community seeks a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) to implement security and emergency services programs and provide outreach within the retirement community. The role includes patrols, incident response, and enforcing traffic regulations.

Requirements include EMR certification, CPR, a valid driver’s license, and 18+ age. Prior security/EMS experience preferred; remote handling of state rules may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification; higher level acceptable, new hires must obtain EMR within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property, relieve gatehouse staffing, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service.
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing all basic interventions.
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using our online report system.
• Coordinate with local police, fire, and EMS during emergencies.
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity.

Join our team as a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) at our gated retirement community. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing our Security and Emergency Services programs and providing outreach within the community.

How you will make an impact

• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing all basic interventions
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity
• Utilize local police, fire, and EMS; effectively during emergencies.
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using our online report system
• Compensation: commensurate with experience, range $19.00- $21.00.

What you will need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred
• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification. (Higher level certification/licensure is acceptable as a condition of hire, however, new hires will be required to obtain EMR certification within 30 days).
