As a Security Officer at a government education location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Pay Rate: $16.92 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an educational campus.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, entrances, grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
